Located in Collegedale, TN–this mysterious little door appeared in December 2022.  Visitors on the walking path by the founders hall towards the Korean Seventh-day Adventist church will be surprised by this little door on the side of the path. 

Opening the door or lifting it from it's spot reveals a special message on the backside "Sorry, Not home right now. Please leave a message." Attached is a small pad of paper and a pencil.

October 30, 2023 - Stolen.... again.

Well it's too bad there is a pumpkin party pooper out there who likes to steal mini pumpkins from mice who live in trees.  This morning it was discovered that all the pumpkins (however many) the sign, and the door were stolen again.  

Why?  

I guess it's good that mouse has excellent insurance for these occurances.

July 19, 2023 - Paint

Hi! A few days ago there was some painted rocks and paint that was splattered on the base of the tree--unfortunately I think this will cause negative attention to the door.  We need to make sure we do not damage the tree or area.  Also if my friends could help by removing any "offensive" writings on the paper that would be great. Occasionally we have people who like to write not so nice things or bad words. We want to keep this "family friendly" for all types of people who stop to check on the door!  Kindness matters!  Thank you friends!

July 13, 2023 - Rain, notes and more!

Hi friends! Sorry it's been a while again. I promise to do better. How does everyone like the new park! It's amazing! I love riding down that big hill. Maybe I will see you out there!

We recently had a lot of rain, a lot. And it dammaged  a lot of the last notes everyone sent. 

Recently someone left some new drawings for me, a new friend---Fox! How nice!

May 18, 2023 - Ice Cream and Stickers

I haven't posted in a while to see if the door would stick around. But I have left a few stickers at random times at the door. If you are lucky to have found one let us know.   Mouse had a huge response in favorite ice cream flavors... Here are a few: Pistachio (nana), Vanilla, Cookies and Cream, Strawberry (Oliver) and Chocolate with Sprinkles (Amelia), Strawbery Cheesecake (Daniel), Rocky Road, Cotton Candy, Pralines and Cream, Coffee, Chocolate Chip. They all sound so awesome.  As you can see, mine is Mint Chocolate Chip! Yum! I'll drop more stickers soon!

Well, it happened again this week. Someone just really does not like the door.  Maybe I need to have a yard sale, pack up my things and move for the summer. I will give it some thought. March 27, 2023 - New Door

A new door was placed around 8:00 a.m.  Let the fun comence!
Please don't steal the door, it's meant to bring joy and fun to the greenway community.  The tree had a natural inset in it (It was NOT man-made or mouse-made) No harm to nature or animals.  It's meant for fun. If someone has a complaint, please message using the link above.  

March 26, 2023 - Crime Scene!

Sometime between 8pm on Saturday night and 12:45 Sunday afternoon the door (door #2) and all the contents were stolen. Who would do this? Someone who definitely needs extra joy and hugs in their life.  Thank you for the note by the Greenway Walker Friend and to another friend on Insta that alerted mouse.  Mouse is thinking about installing a mouse-sized ring doorbell. Hmmmm. At any rate, don't worry friends, for now, we have more doors and fun coming.  Mouse will install one asap. Worse case---mouse will be more cautious about leaving items on the weekend.  Keep up with the neighborhood mouse crime watch! But we will not let it deter our fun.  Carry on! See you soon!

March 11, 2023 - Construction 

I was surprised to see the Police stopped by---He must be checking in to make sure things are safe, how nice! It gave me an opportunity to say Thank You for your service! They keep us all safe, even little ones like me.

Sunday is going to be wet! Make sure to wear your boots. This next week I have a special something coming! See you all soon!  PS. I can't believe I keep missing everyone! The door stays so busy with people popping in to leave messages, yet... I never get to see my friends.   Stay dry!

March 8, 2023 - Construction 

With the pathway partially closed it hasn't stopped my friends from visiting! Sorry I missed you!   Swapped out the door today.  Just a PSA: The paper gets swapped out at least once a week. I record 'most' of the messages and share them here and on instagram. I do not share all the messages.  Sometimes they are just "hi" and scribbles and other times they could have been dammaged by the rain, or just because of random selection. Mouse keeps very busy with his door each week and hope that everyone enjoys it, but mouse keeps them all and may use them in a future project. Cheers! See you soon!
